The Bugle Horn started life as a farmhouse, but during the early 1800s it was used as a wine store for Hartwell House, whilst Louis XVIII of France lived there in exile. Soon after we became known as the Plough, our current name comes from the fossils of the same name that can be seen in The Bugle Horn's walls.

Such a wonderful find!! We love the Vintage Inn chain so were keen to try another. A real gem. So thorough when catering for anaphylaxis allergies which left us all feeling reassured (and full of the amazing food!!). The staff were friendly and attentive. Sunday roasts and desserts were amazing. Charlotte and the manager couldn't do enough to make sure everyone was happy and had everything we needed. We'll definitely be visiting again!
Great food, this is the third time I’ve eaten here and the food has been great. Kris was so accommodating and make sure we were ok, he was so helpful.
Lovely little cozy restaurant! We had the Sunday roast and I couldn't fault it. Very nice staff. Shout out to Kris who served us. Chatty and welcoming. Thank you. Would recommend and definitely be going again 👍
Lovely pub just opposite Hartwell House. Homely food (that's tasty, hearty and designed to stuff you with plenty of delightful treats). The beer flows well (London Pride among them) and the atmosphere is welcoming. Staff are polite and helpful. Lovely pub to visit. I like the set up of the separate rooms.
Came for an impromptu Thursday afternoon lunch and the food was delish! I had the sticky duck pizza which was lovely. The kids meals lasagne/sausages was a good portion for the children and the cod loin went down very well. Reasonable pricing (not cheap), the ambience is lovely and the service was polite and helpful. Recommended.
