Booked a table very easily on website. We thought my elderly Mother would enjoy the Sunday Carvery so chose the British Oak. The Carvery was very nice and reasonably priced, a choice of 3 meats ,vegetables , potatoes along with yorkshire pudding. The experience was enjoyed by all of us
The carvery was excellent ! However we were really disappointed to hear the carvery will be going when the pub is refurbished. Hopefully Marstons and the management will reconsider as the carvery is definitely a huge positive for the pub. Staff were also friendly and attentive too. Overall we had a lovely visit!
This is our local pub and we regularly come here. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. I feel at ease and feel comfortable when we are here. game of darts, pool and different events keeps the British oak a good go-to place. Haven’t actually tried the food, but have seen it and looks decent.
Came here friday to try the food. It was fantastic. Better than we though. We got a mixed grill and the ultimate chicken burger. Very tastey and big portions. Free jukebox on a friday so played some tunes. Will definitely be back
Lovely clean , tidy pub and dog friendly. So happy to find a dog friendly pub to have a nice meal. Couldn’t fault the food. Home made lasagna gorgeous and really delicious fish and chips. Highly recommended, we will definitely eat here again with our dogs next time. Thankyou to the lovely,friendly staff.
