We’re a fantastic local pub, just around the corner from Chester Train Station with all the great features you’d expect from a warm and friendly historic pub.
The Bridgewater Arms began it’s history in the early 1800’s as a pub for the railway workers working on the Chester Railway. Chester Railway station, just a few minutes walk around the corner, first opened in 1848 and later The Bridgewater Arms served as hotel to the station.
Today, the freshly decorated Bridgwater Arms is still as popular as ever with locals and visitors to the great city. We’ve also got probably the cheapest pint in Chester!
When the weather is with us, you can enjoy our beer garden and when it’s not you can relax within our lounge, which can be used as a function room if needed.
There’s also got a handy Smoking Shelter to protect you against the elements. As well as a fantastic jukebox, we have a pool table and darts available too.
Come down and see us for fantastic pint and enjoy the friendly, warm atmosphere.

This is a proper old city of London boozer, only in Chester, that has a really good reputation for its food - it's a great meeting place over a pub lunch, and at different times you'll find half the commercial and professional heart of the city in there.
