An 18-tap, two-floor palace of craft beer plus pizza
We long wanted to add a partner to the epic BrewDog Brighton. So in September 2016 we threw back the doors of an 18-tap, two-floor palace of craft beer in Southampton.
Located at 18a Upper Bannister Street, a short walk northeast of the Central Station and a quick stroll from the art gallery and Watts Park, we renovated a two-floor standalone building by stripping away recent additions and retaining the original brick exterior, fireplaces and mezzanine – giving a choice of level on which to enjoy your craft beer!
BrewDog Southampton also offers growler fills – the perfect way to enjoy fresh draft beer on the go - and in terms of food, the bar will be rocking our hugely-popular new pizza menu. Our Cicerone-trained staff are on hand to suggest the perfect beer pairing for each and every pizza on offer!.

I had a reservation but walked out before even ordering our meal. The benches are all ripped with the sponge exposed. all windows greasy and dirty. No one came to see us or sit us but then a member of staff just popped out from the kitchen. This member looked tired and untidy. Staff were non existent. We were at the table sat for a while and no one was behind the bar or to be seen. The tables were greasy with finger prints. The menus again were all greasy and dirty. Very poor hygiene and not a pleasant environment at all. Wouldn't eat here
Hadn’t been in since 2016 but delighted to see it had retained it’s character and atmosphere. The young lady behind the bar was ever so polite and welcoming (enjoy your Saturday off!!) and the local regulars also chatted away. Hopefully back sooner next time!
So I ordered delivery, the food was good, onions rings were abit bland and dripping oil, fries were good and burger was very good. However, £10 for the smallest can of cocktail I’ve seen? That’s taking the piss! The meal wasn’t worth £42
The seitan option was very nice and the other two were okay... not too happy with the batter! I never had chicken wings with batter ...not bad but definitely would be better without sadly there isn’t an option to no have them battered. Great selection of drinks and very friendly staff so other than the chicken wings not being great everything else was good. I would still recommend it.
Went for drinks and stayed for dinner! My Cluck Norris burger was over fried but everything else was great, especially the new Korean bbq fries.
