Our Story
In March 2020 we made the decision to reopen the Brecknock Arms after it was sadly closed a few months prior and as a family we brought it back to life. In the peak of lockdown and with covid on the rise we worked together to create a place everyone could revisit once it was safe. The Landlords Niall and Zoe have lived in the small but wonderful village for over 25 years and they are the life and soul of both the pub and the community. They have created such a welcoming and friendly space for everyone to enjoy. Niall does an excellent job of maintaining well kept beers and the day to day running of the pub itself. Zoe works incredibly hard as our head chef creating traditional and homemade meals. You can always find Niall chatting away at the bar when he's free from the business of the pub life. They have put a lot of hard work into making this business successful and continue to do so. As a family we look forward to what the future brings for us at the Brecknock and would love for you all to join us on our journey whether it be a passing visit, a meal with friends and family or just to come say hello. We will be here come rain or shine all year round ready to welcome new and old faces. We couldn't have done this without all of your support. All our Love The Brecknock.
We had my brother's wake at the Brecknock Arms. The venue was just perfect and the food was lovely .The staff were wonderful, making sure we had everything we needed. They couldn't have done anymore. Would highly recommend.
Didn't eat there today, but enjoyed some excellent Harvey's Old Ale, in a cosy and relaxing atmosphere.
Great pub. Such a friendly welcome from Niall and gorgeous Marty the dog. Ate Sunday lunch twice - fantastic and vegetarian option really good 😊. Highly recommend.
Cracking pub with Camden Pale & good home cooked grub. Big garden & friendly staff. We had a lovely afternoon off from fishing at Frant Lakes. Came here again last week. No change, still a good & good food 😊🍺
