A tiny bar housed in a market stall, this is certainly the smallest pub in the branch area. Outside seating is available during warmer weather and drinkers often spill over into the market area.
This is a pub where conversation and banter is an important part of the experience. An adjacent unit now forms a lounge area separate from the main bar.
With 3 ever changing cask beers sourced from smaller breweries and at least two ciders along with a good selection of (mainly) Belgian bottled beers there is something for every taste.
Unusually for a micropub there is a full range of drinks including spirits. No food, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Lovely little bar inside chorley Market friendly staff and live music had a great time on a Saturday afternoon
Came here a few years ago and always planned a return. A regular CAMRA Good Beer Guide entry. Situated on Chorley market it is a really small micro bar but there is also communal market seating. Three real ales. Jorvic took a pint of session bitter from Brewsmith, a Bolton brewery. A bit too cold on a freezing December 1st but still enjoyed it. One of 22 pubs / bars in Chorley selling real ale.
A busy bar, especially on market day as it's in the market hall in Chorley. Three ales although only 2 on when I visited. Some seating in a small room but plenty off seating in the market hall. Where locals combine food from another stall and a drink from Bob Inn a great way to do business, and to feed the soul.
Nice place with good selection of beer and other drinks.
Great little place to drop in. We popped by on Easter weekend for the first time. Great food from the stalls and a few cheeky drinks from the Bob Inn with free live music thrown in. What's not to love. 😎

This pub is named after Chorley’s most celebrated son. Sir Henry Tate began his working life as a grocer, made a fortune from sugar-refining and left his collection of paintings to the nation. He also funded the building of the Tate Gallery.
