Lovely food, however a little slow on table service esp considering the number of staff standing around the time btwn courses was lengthy, with no latteral thinking that the glass of wine ordered before dessert order was placed, would have been nicer to of been served with the cheese platter rather than brought out after once it was finished? However, it is dog friendly n has a beautiful walk on Ray Mill island 🏝 n although the service was slow. I would go back as sitting on the balcony in spring by the riverside is a beautiful thing to enjoy and do
It has a very nice atmosphere, the service is good, the staff are friendly, the view is wonderful, we had a great cheesecake, next time I definitely plan to make a reservation and have a great meal.
The prawn toast was *exquisite*, delivering the perfect balance of flavor. As for the mashed potatoes, they were light and creamy, perfectly suiting my palate. The staff seemed to be genuinely enthusiastic and even took the initiative to lift up a blackboard to present us the daily specials.
I've been there 3 times now, but today was the first time I tried their food. It was delicious! I had the sweet potato fritters (a very tasty main) and padron peppers. My friend had the Vietnamese noodle salad. Both dishes were fresh and looked beautiful too. The tables outside in the sun have a beautiful river view and you can order and pay at the bar, no need to wait for the bill. I will be back! Signed, a happy vegan foodie 😋
Visited on a very busy Saturday afternoon. I strongly recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Parking is about 3 min away in a dedicated parking place. The pub sits on the water and it has a great atmosphere. Service was good, the food arrived quickly and tasted amazing. Bit pricey (you are looking at £20-£25 per person for a drink and a main) but would say it is worth it. Will visit again!
