Boaters Bar, the Lake District’s premium venue, is situated on the shore of Lake Windermere offering unrivalled views across the water. Since its opening in 2019, Boaters Bar has taken to the Glebe like a duck to water and has proven itself to be a hit with Bowness locals and visitors alike.

CHILDREN
We pride ourselves on being a family friendly venue and we welcome children of all ages. We have a plethora of games to keep the little ones (and adults!) entertained for hours, however, please note: we cannot be held responsible for any family feuds experienced as a result of playing Monopoly.
DOGS
We are dog lovers! Dogs of all shapes and sizes are welcome at Boaters Bar. All we ask is that your dog acts responsibly and keeps its owner on a lead at all times. For furry friends in need of a bite to eat, we also have a fabulous selection of treats from The Barking Bakery too!

Spent a very enjoyable afternoon here due to the weather being so bad. The staff are really friendly and the selection of drinks was great. The location is amazing as it’s over looking the lake. Would definitely recommend a visit. Extremely dog friendly too.
The most beautiful bar in the lakes! The best views, the best service. Packed out every weekend with live entertainment, and the pizzas to die for!! Can’t wait to be back in the decking over Lake Windermere in the sun!!
Another excellent Northern Monkey bar very near a Camping & Caravan club site. Large warehouse style (Brewdog style) with lots of indoor seating & tables. Staff were very friendly & service was quick. Outside was seating overlooking the lake mooring marina & also some igloos to sit in if it was cold. Dog friendly. Excellent.
Great location with an outdoor terrace at the back with views across the marina and the lake. The pizza was good. Staff were very friendly and polite. They refilled our water bottles too which made us happy. Keep up the good work!
We first briefly visited the excellent Boaters Bar on our Lakes holiday, this year we got to make a proper night of it and my fiancé and I were incredibly impressed with this wonderful establishment. We had several of their signature cocktails, all of them were excellent, mixed to perfection by the very friendly bar staff, Sebastian and Jake were particularly good. I was incredibly impressed that my Old Fashioned was smoked and I even got a choice of wood chips, top notch drinks. The atmosphere was really nice and it’s a very stylish bar with a large outdoor area with stunning views of Lake Windermere. They even have a really cool game where you have to try and swing a hook and attempt to get it to land on a hook on the wall, very difficult and highly addictive especially after a few drinks. We also had a great game of pool. This is a great bar and we will most definitely be visiting again next year, highly recommended.
