Stayed here whilst attending Whitby Goth weekend, ideally situated near the train station to take you in and out of Whitby. Beautiful friendly country pub serving fresh food cooked to order. The en-suite rooms were perfect. Would highly recommend and will definitely return!
One of the best Sunday lunch I've ever had, generous portion, resonable prices, lovely people ❤️
7 of us stayed here on for 3 nights as we were attending my cousins wedding up the road whilst visiting from Australia. Karen and Al are the most friendly, hospitable people. We felt very looked after and attended to. We arrived late after the kitchen closed and they were kind enough to make us some sandwiches upon arrival. Our breakfasts were made to each individuals needs and the food was top quality. They provided Everything you could want. They were lovely enough to give me a pot of their honey made from their own bees as I was suffering with hay fever. Can’t recommend this place enough. 😁
Wonderful stop. Lovely village, well positioned, great staff and the vegetable soup and crusty beef roll were a delight Price was very good and the soup dish very generous a, carrot cake ordered as shared portion because it looked so good , and it was !!!!! Would revisit anytime.
What a fabulous pub in a beautiful setting. The food was excellent, we turned up on burger night which on there own would have been the best part. However, the chips were amazing old school chip shop style crispy outside with a soft juicy centre the chips alone are worth the journey
