The Blackburne has been at the heart of the local community for almost a century, serving a fine selection of wines, beers, and local and guest real ales with a true community spirit.
Offering breakfast, lunch and dinner with Grill Night Wednesdays, and a king-sized Sunday roast – we pride ourselves on only using locally sourced, fresh ingredients – nothing is frozen except the ice cream.
Great little pub in the Georgian quarter. Dropped into a try a pint as never visited before. Obviously very popular as was quite busy. It was spacious and we got a seat easily enough. Had a pint of 'Silver King', decently poured and fresh. Will be needing a return visit for some food, as what I saw looked fantastic, really need to get one of their steaks a go (Thursday I think looked like there was a special offer for steak, so putting that on my list!)
Went here as a large group. Staff did well to get the meals out at the same time as it was very busy. The cauliflower bites were the highlight for me, recommend them! Rest of the food was OK. Was a squeeze, as not enough space at the table and crammed close together. Staff were great though!
We quite often visit here on a Thursday when the do a 'steak night' which I must say is fantastic value; Steak chips and a pint (or 1/2 bottle of wine) for £17.50! Not only is it great value it's also fantastic food. The beers are well kept and the staff welcoming and friendly. Keep up the excellent work!
Went here on A Friday afternoon. The barmaid was very welcoming and brought us menus and took drinks order. She brought drinks to our table, took our order and brought food. I had a very nice prawn linguine, others had fish and chips and sandwiches. All the food was excellent! They also do Timothy Taylor Landlord my favourite pint! Didn't get the barmaid's name but she was an absolute star, running bar and waiting on tables singlehandedly. Will definitely go back soon!
Visited as a family of 4 for a Sunday lunch. The food was fantastic. The main roast had a good amount of meat and it was nice to have more of a medley of veg as apposed to the usual meat and 2 veg you usually get at other places. Then the dessert. The sticky toffee pudding is absolutely amazing. Shout out to all the staff, they were very attentive and knowledgeable. We would happily return

One of the oldest pubs in the city, it is a friendly pub with lots of comfortable seating areas and it is a place filled with history. Tourists come from all over the world to see the pub where John Lennon came whilst studying at Liverpool Arts College
