I meet my mate's Regularly once a week. For three or 4 hours. Sometimes go in on other days always someone in I know.
As a semi regular customer, I recognise alot of faces, but being teetotal i can feel an atmosphere of people who want to start trouble or take liberties because I usually go in alone or with one or two others. Go in sober on a Saturday and want to enjoy the football and a redbull and you'll find yourself out of luck, if your face doesn't fit you won't be welcomed, barmaid doesn't say thanks, nor smile, first flag! subjected to mindless idiots who are drunk by 6pm and if you don't want to be bothered this is not the place for you, it's almost as if you're not part of the clique, you'll receive a frosty welcome. 18months ago the pub was very different, nobody bothered you, now the local crowd of drunkards inhabit the place, its a no-go not if you're interested in keeping your sanity.
Homely, cheap and friendly atmosphere - decent boozer without frills
Epic Saturday night watching rugby and drinking John Smiths. Awesome night out.
Tastefully decorated following its refurbishment and reopening. Upto 4 Cask ales available. Excellent meeting/function room available upstairs with its own bar.
