I stayed the night with my brother and his wife. It was our chance to get together for our birthday and Christmas celebration as I will be away this year. The atmosphere was very friendly and very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to help in every way possible. From getting us checked into our rooms and later to our evening meal. The food on each plate was more than anyone can eat they certainly give large portions there and breakfast the following day was no different. I would fully recommend this place for a stay when coming to the forest for a visit as there are many local attractions close by.
Had Sunday lunch.... fantastic Great portions, fresh veg, lovely pudding, excellent service, all staff very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended (but don't push in front of us)? 😉
Popped in for breakfast, wasn’t staying at this hotel. Glad I visited. Incredible selection of cold breakfast items in terms of value for money. The cooked breakfast was done to order and was beautiful. Couldn’t believe all of this was just £6. Incredible value for money.
Very clean room ideal for 1 or 2 nights, friendly staff. Good value food for Saturday evening and Sunday lunch.
Food’s great. Had a couple of meals here recently; one gammon, one steak. Both cooked perfectly. Hilarious that they tell you to note the table number and order at the bar when none of the tables have numbers!
