Popped in for early evening meal. Best steak pie in years at a great price! Drinks and food all good, recommended. Update, four of us went for lunch and the quality was still good unfortunately all four meals were barely warm, sent back for a quick microwave but still not hot, very disappointed.
Visited twice in early December, once on a busy Saturday night where it was packed but had a very edgy vibe (lads looking for fights with anyone and everyone, my partner witnessed girls doing coke in the toilets and was near enough threatened). Gave it another go for some food the following Wednesday, the 'Pepsi' or 'coca cola' we ordered was either not a proper brand, or had been left sat there and was out of date, it tasted awful. The burger was decent, but the home made chips were swimming in grease. When this was pointed out to the lady at the bar she replied that "nobody else has complained". Won't be visiting again.
Excellent atmosphere & great food & service. Very busy so book a table or you may be unlucky. Well worth a visit & I am sure once you have been you will go again.
Engagement Party - We had our engagement party at Beggars Bridge in the function room on Saturday 7 October. Absolutely brilliant venue. The staff were excellent, the food was fantastic and the overall experience was really great. All of our guests loved the venue and commented on the decor and how nice it was. I was blown away by how nice the staff were. Really really happy we had our night there. Thoroughly recommend as a venue for your special occasion. John and Lynsey.
Lovely place. Good atmosphere. Sport on TV, with background music. Three cask ales and 6-7 different lagers (why so many?) And another couple of beers on tap. Plenty of spirits to choose from. Food looked good. Prices were a touch cheaper than other places locally. Free parking, if you need it, at metro station next to the pub
