Really enjoyed our meal today. Excellent food & excellent value for money. Lovely helpful staff. Atmosphere was really nice. We sat at the window, really relaxing watching the birds & ducks. The staff gave Bruno our dog a sausage, he loved it! The only negative thing was the pastry on the mince beef pie was a little on the hard side. Wouldn't have mentioned it but, I would want to know if it was my business. Other than that, it was perfect. Toilets were lovely & clean. We had a lovely walk first in Spud Wood just 5 mins down the road.
Really enjoyed a little stop here by the canal for some afternoon tea. It was Christmas Eve, and there was a lot of Christmas Cheer, friends and family enjoying a nice outing on Xmas Eve. Great, warm atmosphere for this gal from the US to enjoy. The soup I had was delicious and experienced great service.
What a fantastic time we had celebrating a family birthday here today! Can't recommend highly enough! Fantastic food prices scenery staff service ambiance! Thankyou Barn Owl Inn
The food and service were really good. You could tell the food was freshly cooked and tasted great. The letdown is the atmosphere. it's quite clinical. Yes, you have the canal, but it's a shame the layout and table and chairs have not been thought through more. Otherwise, this would have been 5 stars.
Sat in a pod. It was lovely. Enjoyed watching the boats go past. The food was lovely we both had the steak and onion baguette that came with chips and coleslaw. Great value. Waitress was really friendly and had a laugh and joke with us. Shame the boat is parked up there spoiling the view from the majority of the pods. I’ve been a few times for drinks at night the sunsets are lovely. Would recommend to anyone

The Green Dragon originated not as the large building that you see today, but as three smaller cottages that were converted into an alehouse in the 19th Century.
