The barley corn inn has now a new couple running the pub for the last 3 week's,and I have to say these guys are doing a great job, they have a great attitude and make you feel welcome and at home,already making improvements for starters the draught beers taste great ice cold crisp clean larger excellent.out of their own pockets paid for pool table to be recovered a nice touch indeed.so I would highly recommend anyone to call in and see Stacey and Matthew they will welcome you with a smile and great service.well done guys see you soon.
Decent beer, reasonable prices and quirky no phone rules. No phone rule is complete with an nhs track and trace location code on the door... and you can use your phone in the garden, just not inside.. quirky, and a bit of a hidden gem if you like that sort of thing.
Rude staff doing a cross word at the bar, not engaging with punters. First word she said to me after 30 minutes was get off your phone. Clearly the ban on phones is to encourage a better atmosphere in the pubs. Then why is a landlord or manager allowed to sit ignoring everyone with a cross work. Why i cant message freinds to let them know where i am sat. There beers cheap for a pub, but with that service might aswell drink at home.
Great traditional pub with friendly staff. A good selection of beers wines and spirits. There's a large free car park to the rear with access to the side. Also at the back there a seating area with tables for a nice drink in the sun.
Lovely cosy atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Beer not too bad- I'm not used to Sam Smith's but it is a surprisingly cheaper option. Beers you can get used to!
