The staff not as friendly as Caerphilly!!! Maybe it is the natural voice but there was a tinge of abruptness and sharpness in the voice and it was a little but if a put off . I have had problems in the past with this branch and found the staff not that friendly , however the chef and serving staff at the carvery were very friendly and considerate and the meal was very good except the carrots were tasteless, and the cauliflower was a little hard apart from that good
Haven't been for a long time, staff all lovely. When we arrived at 1030am after booking the table the day before. The man at the bar said the food that's out is what's left, and that we booked the last sit in session. All that was there was bacon which didn't look cooked, sausages and tomatoes. No beans. No eggs no mushrooms etc. not what a I expected fatter previous breakfasts there. By the time I put it on my place and sat down it was cold to eat. Really didn't enjoy it. Shame as it's put us off coming back
Fantastic staff all work hard and love Michael always smiling. The Carvery was really hot with plenty off choices and tasted amazing.. We really enjoyed our visit and will be returning very soon
Me and my mum dined here with the recent offer of a carvery for £6 each. Our experience was excellent and I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a relaxed evening out. The food here is amazing and the service are always very friendly whenever we come. Thank you for a lovely evening :)
Ok, so I went along, looking forward to a lovely dinner. I was looking forward to the Turkey. My heart sank when I queued for the carvery. The turkey was mostly a dried up looking carcass, the pork and gammon looked equally as dry the lamb looked nice. Unfortunately for the person in front of me, they asked for turkey, and were served scrapping from the carcass. Luckily for me, they brought out a freshly cooked turkey crown! It was delicious. I went to choose my vegetables, but everything was yuck. Hard solid potatoes, all the other vegetables were dry and looked as though they had been there for hours. I chose best as I could, which wasn’t a lot, and I really do love all vegetables. Then I went to the gravy, put a couple of ladles over my dinner, and when I sat down to eat, the gravy was lukewarm. I left wishing that I hadn’t gone 😢
