Good and constient in everyway for the last 20 years for beer, food and great value...
Brilliant pub fabulous array of beers Needs support in these tough times.
Good old style pub, small menu but the food is good. A Hugh selection of beers from around Europe. The staff are friendly older clients but nothing wrong with that. Overall a good pub on the same Street where TJ Hughes was.
Visiting Oldham with Madge so visited this CAMRA Good Beer Guide pub with five real ales. The inside is a little dowdy but characterful. Excellent pint of Goose Eye brewery 4.5% Golden Goose. Food and drink is excellent value. £6 for the curry. A few Altrincham football fans in for their game at Oldham. I have been an away fan at Boundary park a few times. An open end, winter winds bringing sleet off the Pennines. It's like an Attenborough documentary of Penguins in the Antarctic!
A cash only pub with at least 4 real ales/hand pull on sale. Prices are very reasonable. My Ossett pint was £3.20 unlike the average of £4.50 in central Manchester. My 2nd time here but will come back with some mates to sample more beers. Staff are very professional and pleasant. There is a pub dog who is friendly. Did not try the food but prices are reasonable after looking at the menu. Well worth a visit.

Just off the town centre. 'Fun' pub with many activities. Karaoke Fri, Sat & Sun evenings. Handy for both King Street & Central tram stops.

This is named after the Up Steps Inn, which stood on the same site and was built in the early 19th century, then demolished in the 1930s. The pub got its unusual name because its entrance was above street level, up a few stone steps.
