Lanterne Rouge are a rock/pop covers band based locally. If you are looking for bands, please feel free to contact us. We do pub gigs, private events/parties and so on.
The band flexes the set list depending on what venue or event we are playing and we cover a lot of ground. We pick tunes that we think most people will know the words for the first two verses and the chorus .... or it will have them checking the song out on youtube when they get home. We try to be the live jukebox we always wanted in a pub.
From abba and acdc through to the zombies and zztop with stop offs in pretty much every decade from the 50s including bowie, bolan, beatles, blackeyed peas, clash, cult, duran duran, floyd, hard-fi, simple minds, neil young, stones, rem, oasis, stranglers, chris isaak, quo, stereophonics, pulp, qotsa, foofighters, muse, U2.
Two guitars with too many pedals, a bass with on occasion one too many strings, and drums with the option of full acoustic or electric if we play smaller venues, plus two of us crooning.... we play pretty much anything, not too heavy, not too light... music to drink beer and dance to!
