The food was excellent (fillet steak with peppercorn sauce for me, lamb shank for hubby). Deserts were amazing. Service was superb. It was early so not too busy, but a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
The food was average at best. The service was okay, but what really did the damage was when we said we didn't want to pay the 10% assumed gratuity charge. I personally feel that tipping is a luxury and a courtesy from customer to staff. Their wages get paid like the rest of us. Simple as. When we paid everything around the gratuity fee, we were asked why we hadn't paid the remaining said gratuity fee and "why? Was there anything wrong with the meal/service?", asked the gentleman. I responded with words to the effect of "I'm skint". He proceeded to turn his back in a mood, not say anything and walk off. Arrogant as f if you ask me. If we wish to tip you, it's our place to do so, not your right. I won't be going there again.
Been a few times, cozy restaurant with amiable staff. The food is excellent, had a tomahawk steak which came with five different sauces last time, one of the best I have ever had. Reasonably priced too, so will keep coming back!
Lovely food and great service. The Smoked Salmon & Prawn Salad starter of the specials board was lovely as was the Rigatoni San Rocco. My dad had the Lamb Shank which was really nice and so tender that he never used his knife as the most just fell off the bone.
By far one of the best places I’ve been in the area, delicious authentic food, lovely caring staff and the most helpful management, if you are after good food and Italian standard service highly recommend. We asked for some food for the baby and manager immediately gave us a solution of what you can feed a 9month old baby on diversification even though their kids menu is designed for kids of older aga. Thanks very much and will definitely be back even though it’s not as close to our house as I would normally consider returning to.
