Great little hotel with stunning views over the harbour and amazing food. If you like seafood you'll love the evening menu. Breakfast was also really good with high quality ingredients. Rooms were cosy and the bathroom was modern and clean.
We only choose this place because they had breakfast and since we had an early Ferry the receptionist Said he’d make us some breakfast boxes for us to pick up in the morning. Eventhough there were only one other room booked ( super quiet) there was no breakfast boxes, also no one picking up the emergency phone so it was impossible to reach anyone. Because of our early Ferry we now have empty stomaches and felt very tricked. There’s a boat in the dock for 70 pound/ night , way cuter. But… because of the breakfast we choosed this place for 100 pound a night, we paid an extra 30 pounds for a breakfast ….. that we never got. Also room was a bit broken, not very clean and cold.
My family rented 4 rooms; check-in was easy. The rooms were clean. That's where the positives end. The in-room internet quality is non-existant; I had to post this review on the ground floor in the restaurant. Additionally, the showers are literally 30" (inches) or .76m square. The shower doors open to a total of 15" (inches) or .38m. If you are obese, be prepared for the challenge. Heating control is also limited For the price, the hotel is far below expectations. If you need to work remotely with your computer, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL..
Really great place, I have stayed here twice for work now and each time the bed and food have both been excellent, I would recommend it! Although the wifi is extremely poor, if they invested in better wifi I would have gave the 5 stars.
We only dined - did not stay - but wanted to say how good the Sea Bed Restaurant was. Food was fantastic and very good value. I had haggis bon bons for a stater and they were fresh and crisp. Apple puree was a nice addition. For a main course I had a Moroccan fish stew that included lovely fresh scallops. Portions are generous. I would recommend booking a table - it is understandably very popular.
