I thought I'd just pop in for a bag of chips while waiting for the bus on a friday evening, my mistake! Stood waiting 20 minutes before the hostile woman even took my order, another 25 minutes of her grumbling and stood around doing nothing but repeat orders under her breath for me to be presented with the most greasy sloppy undercooked portion of chips stapled shut in a bag after i asked for them to eat now. I couldn't even finish one chip. I spat it out and put them all in the bin. They were disgusting. I don't even think a homeless person would have been grateful for them. Overpriced, unfriendly service and terrible disgusting chips. This was the best chippy for miles a few years ago. What a shame.

Probably the lowest rated fish and chips in all of Manchester. *Service is horrendous. The most rudest woman works behind the counter taking orders. Clearly she cannot handle the stress of the job. She is so rude and has zero manners/customer service. *They offer gluten free options. The only issue is not on Friday's. Apparently gluten has decided to choose Friday's to attack the masses. What does that even mean?! They do however do battered sausage (gluten free) on Friday's! So why not use the same batter!? The most idiotic statement I've ever heard this week: "we don't do gluten free "battah" on Fridays except for the sausage" So stupid. *I asked for 2 Haddock and 1 large chips and gravy. I got double of everything and they charge you ridiculous prices for it. The atmosphere is horrendous due to the old lady. I've just binned both chips as they were really under cooked. I wouldn't dare let the old lady know as she would probably attack me with hot oil. *The price for a fish is £7.50, chips under £4, sides average £2. Don't get the gravy it's like thin watered down and smells of an ashtray. This place will close down in 8 months. It has too. Places like WA14 Fish and Chips, Chippy on Burton road are much , much , much better. Shame on you and your extortionate ways.

As a gluten free diner, having proper fish and chips is a real luxury: it was absolutely glorious! Fresh and tasty with gf vinegar to complement

One of the best take away fish&chips place you can imagine! I had cod large, just delicious. The fish is not oily deep fried, the thin but crispy batter layer just looks in golden colour. When you bite it you can feel the balance of the salt and vinegar. The mush peas is ever so consistence as well, not too watery but not too dry either ! Would definitely go back.

great food great service however it does have 3 cons which made it a 7.5/10 for me con:1 chips were not cooked for long enough and were in honesty a bit soggy con:2 curry sauce was very runny and rendered it hard to dip in chips as it all just ran off the chip by the time it met the mouth. con:3 the price was a little bit more than what other chip shops do for the deal provided maybe if it was a pound cheaper then the score would be higher overall it was a great experience the area and the style of the place was excellent i personally loved the very slight urban styling would recommend to friends and family
