Room was thoughtfully decorated. Breakfast and dinner were always fresh, hot and delicious. Staff were very helpful. I'd definitely come again. Loved it.
Very disappointing experience Friday evening. We tried to book for Saturday to dine with our friends visiting from the mainland. We were told that Saturday wasn't available but that Friday was. We arrived half hour early hoping to have a drink in the bar first, only to be told that due to setting up for a wedding the following day the bar was about to close and that we would be dining in the breakfast room (we should have been told about this!). We ordered a drink each and had to take this through to the breakfast room. We live on the island and have enjoyed visiting several times before, for the NYE ball, afternoon tea as well as an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. Previous visits have always been first class, but on this occasion sadly not. We felt very rushed and perhaps the restaurant should not have taken dinner bookings when their focus was elsewhere. We're not sure we will be returning.
Spent a lovely 2 nights at Albert Cottage Hotel with 5 girlfriends. Phil & staff made us feel very welcome ,they were all so helpful & cheerful ,the chef & kitchen staff are to be thanked for delivering first class meals. The spacious rooms are all decorated &furnished beautifully. Looking forward to spending a longer break away at Albert Cottage Hotel soon (Phil we will study the bus timetable fully next time 😂)
I lived on the Isle of Wight until I was 19 and come back to see parents for past 30 years and this was my first trip to Albert cottage. We went for lunch and what a gem. 100% recommended. Very classy, great roast. Recommended as a really nice place to eat.
Went for a wedding, beautiful setting close to Osborne House. Great breakfast with lots of choice. The food they provided for the wedding was very good as well. Beautiful old building with high ceilings and lots of chandeliers and interiors befitting the history of the house. Comfy beds. Large bathrooms with roll top freestanding bath and separate shower with rain shower heads.

The Lifeboat stands proudly over East Cowes Marina, which is a huge favourite of visiting yachtsmen in the summer, but also a family-friendly home-from-home for locals too.
