Located 17 miles from Cambridge and within a 20 minute car journey from Newmarket race course and Duxford Imperial War Museum, White Horse is set in the quiet picturesque Suffolk country village of Withersfield, with a backdrop of open fields and trees.
The pub consists of an early 17th Century grade II listed thatched building, offering real charm and a welcoming atmosphere to.
Enjoyed stay, but you definitely have to have your own transport. Atmosphere and service was very good.
Had a lovely Sunday roast in this authentic English pub. Would recommend booking on Sundays.
The room was spacious with a lovely comfy bed. Nice, quiet location with good views. However, the accommodation was not very clean and I found lots of dust under the bed, dead flies on the blinds and the shower curtain had black mould on it. The furniture was chipped and could do with a bit of TLC. This place has a lot to offer and the cleanliness let it down.
Lovely Sunday family lunch. Service was great. No pressure to rush. Excellent value for money. Go hungry!! And leave room for desserts.
Having got very lost on way to white horse and arriving half hour late we were greeted by amazing friendly staff. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was delightful We will definitely be returning with out getting lost.
