Looks posh, nice and comfortable furnishings they've really made this hotel lovely and welcoming. Nice friendly staff and well kept bar, I liked the different feeling between sitting in the lounge areas and the bar. Positioned just near to Goathland village centre its in a lovely situation. I'll be back to stay overnight next time, will try the meals and enjoy the calm and relaxing atmosphere that they've created.
A traditional hotel with exceptionally friendly staff and guests. An attractive building with gorgeous views to the front and back. You can enjoy the food in the smart restaurant or as wholesome bar meals. The bar is good enough that locals and non residents use it as a pub. With decent ale on hand pump I would do the same if I lived in the village.
Called in today at short notice for Sunday Lunch which was absolutely delicious. We were a party of 4 adults, 1 teenager and 2 children. The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming and must be complemented on their service. As stated the meals were superb and great value for money. We can highly recommend the Mallyan Spout if you're in need of a Sunday Lunch! We'll definitely call again when in the area.
On the walk back from the falls, we had a delightful stop-off at the Coach House Cafe. A small cafe next door to, and owned by, the hotel, we had excellent cake and drinks. Tea in a pot! Fab! Decent coffee and excellent hot chocolate. Just right to dry us out, warm us up and get us back on the road.
What a cozy & quaint hotel. We sadly only had an opportunity to stay the one night, but it was wonderful. Huge beds, crispy clean bedsheets. Thoughtful extras. The breakfast was utterly delicious, it was a generous portion of quality food, cooked to perfection. 😋 There was absolutely nothing not to love here. The staff were friendly & helpful. Everywhere was clean. I'd happily go back again. 🫶
