Once an East End furniture factory that during the 1940s and 50s was a hive of British industry and handmade craftsmanship. As the factory fans spun with the original crittal windows just ajar, men and women were toiling over leather recliners and rosewood dining chairs much like those in the restaurant today. As always, we serve the best quality grass-fed meat from Phillip Warren in Cornwall, cooked simply over our charcoal grill and dished- up for incredible value and always a lot of fun. Feel free to join us at the bar, for pre or post-dinner drinks.
My favourite Sunday roast! Perfectly cooked lamb & beef, great cocktails & possibly the best service I’ve ever had. They’re happy to give you extra gravy/roasties without even asking 👌🏼
Service is impeccable, such lovely staff, so attentive, overall amazing!! The atmosphere is good, always busy. The food is incredible 10/10 keep returning, the roast is amazing and the cheesecake is incredible, really recommend!! Only thing taking it down a little is the food isn’t that hot, but still delicious!! It also arrived super fast, which was perfect!! Really really really recommend!!
Fantastic Sunday roasts, meat were cooked to perfection. Great Yorkshire puddings and the house gravy was fantastic. Really freindly staff, welcoming and helpful. Definitely worth booking in advance for a Sunday as it was very busy and some people were turned away.
Genuinely one of the BEST steak house (great value for money too) I’ve ever had in London! *Be sure to make the reservation online The service & the vibes were fantastic. Must order: -Pig’s head on toast: absolutely delicious. -Porterhouse 750g for 2 people: words cannot describe how good it was. -Chips: definitely 11/10, once you had one bite, you couldn’t stop it. I enjoyed the food so much and had a lovely dinner. Would definitely recommend it! 11/10 👍🏼
My dining experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The food surpassed all expectations, and the All-In Sunday Roast was a delightful highlight. Opting for the roast choices on a shared plate for two provided an extensive variety, with the beef impressively cooked to a perfect medium-rare, and the pork and lamb equally outstanding. The portion size was generous, making it an ideal choice for a date, complemented by a well-chosen bottle of wine. The dessert selection proved to be an indulgent and satisfying conclusion to the meal. The restaurant's environment exuded a pleasant and friendly ambiance, creating a comfortable setting for a memorable dining experience. The staff's service was impeccable; their kindness and attentiveness elevated the evening. A noteworthy gesture was when they graciously took our flowers inside for safekeeping while we enjoyed our meal, showcasing an extra mile of thoughtfulness. Service was not only prompt but consistently ensured our satisfaction. The waitstaff was always present, attentively checking in to ensure everything met our expectations. Overall, this establishment seamlessly combines delectable cuisine, a welcoming environment, and top-notch service, making it a standout choice for a delightful culinary outing.

Deep in the heart of Shoreditch lies The Barley Mow, an atmospheric and traditional pub with a heart of gold. Not actual gold, or we’d be in the Bahamas living it up.
