Something old school about the place, staff really nice and helpful. Membership worth it. Somewhere to relax and play a frame or two with a Pint.
Great club - 8 snooker tables downstairs, pool upstairs. The hosts looked after us wonderfully well over the 3 days of the Q Tour event.
Good, friendly service! Not a member but need to join, I always visit as a guest. It's always busy, which is a good thing but need/want to become a member......... Clientele varied, nationalities, young, old, a good mix (apart from the teen lads with their jeans hanging down past their arses, what is that about?? 😂) (A small point- Needs a better hand dryer in the loos, queuing to dry hands. With the amount of hand contact on, cues, cue balls, the table etc, better hand washing facilities needed to stop the spread of germs... just my opinion) Enjoyed the new Castle St, lager, a great beer! UPDATE: Have now become a member! New Hand dryer installed! 👍👍👍👍
Snooker room downstairs always looks a bit quiet and serious, but head upstairs to the pool room and it's a lot of fun, with great tables, good cues, friendly staff, viby music, and a decent bar. There's usually a good number of people there too, even on weekdays. There's a reasonably priced membership, and it's often a good idea to book a table on busy nights, but you can also just turn up and play. Overall it's a good night out, a real suprise given the hidden away backstreet location, and not at all the stuffy experience you might expect.
Great place. Management, staff, facilities, drink selection all 5*. Service is exceptional with smiles all round. Great to go even just for a drink.
