Set in Littlewick Green, a friendly village pub that serves traditional home cooked food and traditional Ale.
The Cricketers is a quintessentially British pub set in the idyllic village of Littlewick Green in Berkshire. The traditional menu offers a range of exquisite pub food, as well as daily specials, all of which are freshly prepared at the Cricketers. Overlooking the cricket pitch, we are perfectly located for enjoying the gorgeous surroundings from our beautiful garden. For the cold winter nights there is an inviting log fire and intimate seating areas in a setting that oozes rustic charm.
Whether you’re after a quick visit for a pint of award winning ale, or it’s a special occasion which needs celebrating, or you want to tuck into the ‘Famous Cricketers Sunday Roast’…we look forward to welcoming all of the family very soon!.
Lovely reasonably priced meal and drinks. Great location opposite the village green.
Traditional pub grub. Nice, tasty food - chicken & mushroom pie, steak & ale pie, followed by sticky toffee pudding & ginger pudding & custard. Drinks were local ale & were fine. The staff seemed genuinely friendly & took order & served food quickly. The only downsides: The table was sticky (with beer stains?) and obviously not very well cleaned before our arrival. The pub is quite noisy in the evening (8 pm) with what I assume are the several pub regulars both male & female propping up the bar and talking so loudly we felt our quiet conversation in the corner of the adjacent bar was being drowned out!
Had A birthday meal here tonight. 5 adults and a 4 year old. Food was was great, good home cooked pub grub! Staff friendly and welcoming! Will definitely be returning 😋
Beautiful outside seating overlooking the cricket green (I didn’t go inside). I had a home cooked ham sandwich with chips and salad, which was delicious. Attentive staff, even on an unprecedentedly busy and hot day. I wasn’t able to fully finish my lunch (because of medication) and the lady serving us made sure there was no issue with the food before happily making me up a doggy bag to take home, which I really appreciated. VERY Reasonable prices. Will certainly return.
Lovely location, nice service, but the roast dinner was awful in every single aspect. It was also cheap -£12.50. Perhaps invest in a decent chef and better produce and put the prices up. With the location people will pay more for better quality. Horse and groom down the road charge £20-25 for a roast and it’s worth every penny.
