The Anglers Rest is a unique and special place. In 2013 it became the first community pub in Derbyshire when it was purchased collectively by over 300 people. It is now run for the benefit of the community.

Beautifully set in Darton it offers a wide range of beer and the best cask ales. The food is served with the best homemade chips in Barnsley. There is live entertainment ever Friday and a disco / karaoke every Saturday.

Large main bar serves a large long narrow lounge with large TV over fireplace. A smaller room to rear of the pub is quiet. The pub has 'Bell's' Tandoori restaurant and takeaway.upstairs. Three handpumps but no real ales.
