About us

The Three Moles is a traditional countryside real ale house in the beautiful village of Selham, the heart of the South Downs National Park. Having been taken over by the new landlords, Tom & Ollie on the 1st May 2017, the pub has been given a fresh burst of life and is regularly frequented by many local and not so local residents along with many visitors to the area.

The Three Moles is very much the village living room where everyone is welcome (including well behaved children and dogs on leads) to come and have a great time. There is always a very friendly atmosphere and our loyal local customers just cannot keep away!.

What a superb little find. Lovely quiet country pub. Very compact and extremely welcoming. The food was excellent, particularly the sausages and mash 😋 and good value. Good choice of beers, local and guest beers. Licencees were particularly hospitable, I would highly recommend a visit.

Great little village pub. There were only about 5 tables inside, but the food was surprisingly good and reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend if you're passing through.

We only stopped for drinks but were warmly welcomed by staff when we arrived. Many exciting events and music coming up which we hope to go to and the menu looked modestly delicious

A great find tucked away off the A272. We only had sandwiches but that was fine and it was delightful in the shady beer garden. Looks as if they have a lot of special evenings and a more extensive menu than just sandwiches. Easy parking opposite just watch out for the single track hump back bridge on the route. So steep you can't see anything coming the other way

Really nice pub to visit. Arrived at lunchtime opening and there was plenty of parking space opposite the pub. The car park has a lovely 'totem pole' depicting 3 Moles and us beautifully carved. Good selection of wines and beers (didn't look at any other drinks they do). Some of the draught beers were 'too tropical' in flavour for me but Longman's Best bitter was an excellent choice. Very good selection of lunch time food on offer and they are able to cater for Coeliacs. The chef's presentation of the food was also very good. We sat in the garden which has been beautifully and cleverly landscaped making the best use of the steep ground.

Food & drink

With the introduction of a new menu that offers a range of traditional ‘pub grub’ options ranging from bar snacks to evening meals and Roast Dinner on a Sunday, the pub has really come back to life. To ensure the history and tradition of The Three Moles is upheld, we do not let food take over the pub and have reserved the seating at the bar end of the pub for those who just want to come in and enjoy a drink. We also have a large beer garden, plenty of outdoor seating and a large marquee in the garden to cater for large group bookings.

Sorry, we don't have any menus listed at the moment.
