About us

The Raven came into existence in 1839 and it was originally a stable block. Formerly known as 'The Raven Tavern', the name is supposed to be linked to the old Ravenscourt Manor House and the park. The Manor House was at one time surrounded by a moat fed by the Stamford Brook and then demolished after suffering severe damage by incendiary bombs in 1941. The pub is situated almost opposite Stamford Brook Station and on the Hammersmith and Chiswick border. The Raven is famous for the maternity books which we still have from Queen Charlottes Hospital, Traditionally fathers would come in to the Raven and sign the book and leave a message for their new-born child accompanied by a few beers,The books also includes well known names such as Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, Zak Starkey American Jazz singer, Marion Montgomery's daughter Abigail were all born in Queen Charlotte's. The list also includes Daniel Radcliffe, Emily Franke, Mischa Barton and Dame Helen Mirren.

I literally stumbled out of the underground station and this pub was just across the road. But I don't think I could have found a better pub in the area even if I had tried. Great staff, great pint of London Pride and a good craic with the locals. Shame I seem to have missed the cat :(

A great pub right next door to Stamford Brook underground station (Piccadilly & District). The Raven is a traditional styled pub offering a good range of both cask and keg beers. Very welcoming with a great cat called Alfie (I think) Quizzes appear to be a regular feature- put your thinking cap on. A small tapas menu on offer along with a more traditional pub menu, all good stuff! A super place to visit.

What an amazing pub and great staff, Alex and Grace are great bar tenders, everyone is so nice! We went to football today and had to stop at the Raven! Molly is a great manager, we loved chatting to everyone. Ordered lots of cocktails and pints. Loved the 2 4 1 cocktails, will definitely be back!

Great pub. Good atmosphere, dog friendly. Fun fact: this pub has a hilarious tick tock account 🤣. Pub quiz is free to enter with great prizes - do it! We need some competition we’re great at coming second! (Better than my usual last!) . Alex the barmaid is lovely, so is Tom the manager. Super friendly. Great community pub, highly recommend.
