The Thatchers Arms is a traditional country pub serving excellent local Real Ale and fabulous fresh local food. We source as much as we can from the local area and cook traditional British Pub food alongside more adventurous specials.
We hold regular Beer Festivals (End of May and October) and also host an Open Mic night once a month (last Wednesday every month).
Whether you want a pint to sit and read the paper or admire the stunning views, or you want a sandwich or a three course meal, everybody is welcome including well behaved children & dogs.

Was a tad chilly where we ate but the food was good and service was always around checking how we were doing. Had ham egg and chips myself, pretty standard but pretty good. Partner had steak dish which she loved. Didnt have a dessert but others did and they looked even better.
Excellent food in convivial and smart surroundings. The bacon and spring onion croquettes were sensational and the pork chop enormous. The view from the car park makes it a lovely place to visit.
We had a lovely meal here for a friend's birthday. The setting is great, just fields for miles. The table was situated in a side room that had great views and large windows so felt really light and perfect to enjoy the view. The food was very good. I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious and home cooked. Everyone else was very happy with their food as well. I would definitely recommend this place for a great meal with a lovely view.
We visited on a Wednesday lunchtime, quite quiet which was nice. Ample parking, easy access, I believe that wheelchair access could be gained via the patio area but do check before going. Lovely interior, clean, fresh looking, tables not too near each other. We ate in as it was quite windy to brave the patio area but it looked a great outdoor space with stunning views of the countryside. Staff were all attentive and welcoming. Food was excellent, all hot. Perfect amount, nice to see plates not overloaded with endless chips and not much else. The desserts were scrumptious, and the brownie had been warmed which went down a treat. Prices were in line with most other establishments. Will be back for another visit.
Had a lovely evening meal here, staff were lovely, very accommodating and nothing was too much bother, it did seem rather understaffed however and service could be slow at times, but understandable given recent times! Food was lovely, wouldn’t say it was anything out of the ordinary though, but still very tasty and enjoyable! The price was quite high was the only slight point, with one drink and 2 courses was around £35 a head, just seemed slightly on the high side. Would come again as atmosphere and the indoor outdoor feeling was lovely
