A rare example of a back-street pub that was a former beer house and has only had a full license since 1962. Tucked away, but located quite close to the nearby railway station with its magnificent early Victorian facade.

Recently refurbished, this pub now offers a changing selection of beers on hand pump and craft beers listed on a blackboard. A beer menu also advertises their craft beer selection which includes some unusual options for the area and good value snacks.

Street corner local with a large single bar. Live music on Sat eve. Originally only a beerhouse, the Crown got its full license on February 8th 1956.
