    — The Haywain may well deserve an Excellent rating for food, but as I havent eaten there for a while and can't really remember, I have rated it as GOOD. There are guest beers and a regular beer festival, together with other activities including the monthly Cheese Club, which raise several thousand pounds each year for charities. I attend the weekly Monday night quiz - the night when there is no food. It has the best pub quiz I've found. The format is different from usual, which means that individuals and teams have equally good chances of winning the weekly top prize of £100. It's only £1 to enter and you can turn up on your own, sure of having a good night. Kevin, the genial and welcoming barman puts his heart into the quiz, which deserves better attendance. it's really come on all you Canterbury quizzers - Monday nights at 8.30; it's at Bramling on the road from Canterbury to Sandwich. Hope to see you some of you there next week.
