Having previously managed a successful bar in Holmfirth, Yolande has returned from abroad and reinvigorated this Norridge Bottom, riverside wine bar. Two real ales served within a swish interior and can be enjoyed on a very attractive terrace area.

Visited here having being highly recommended by a friend. Fair play the place is spotless and gorgeous decor. Waited a good 7/8 minutes being completely ignored by bar tender/ owner whilst she sorted out some personal delivery?? Then she carried on with someone else's order still not even acknowledging us. When we eventually got served (can't fault the drinks they were perfect) I did think just shy of £27 for 2 double Gins and a packet of peanuts was a bit expensive. Took our empties back to the bar on leaving and said thank you to be completely ignored again! Was going to make this place a new regular but 👎👎👎👎 Ended up going to the Postcard 10 minutes down the road, warm welcome, super friendly staff, drinks less than half the price and had a fantastic night 😁
We turned up here on the 30th of December 2023. We were a party of 7 and two dogs we entered through the main entrance found our seats and sat down it was around 19:00pm, three of us walked to the bar only to be met with sarcasm and hostility by the bar maid, she told us she wouldnt server us as it was a private party but said this in a condescending/sarcastic manner which made me question it she then became rude. I then went to go and get the rest of our party in which she shouted theres only one exit again there was no need. I suggest in future a sign on the door explaining itnwas a private party, how was a party of 7 able to go find seats in a small bar? I also suggest manners as this isnt a bar I or my family will set foot in again.
We went in in a group of 11 and my wife was shouted at by the female manager/owner as she objected to us pulling two tables together. The manager is clearly unhappy in her work and does not get on with people. I suggest a career change might be in order (try lighthouse keeper). This manager consistently scowled at us in anger every time she walked passed. After a member of our group with a disability used the disabled toilet twice & left the door ajar, this same the manager came storming up the stairs & slammed the door shut. This has to be the worst bar in Holmfirth.
Great bar with had a fabulous afternoon here.We had the dips tzaikki,Hummus and OMG curried mango dip it was amazing the kids loved it so much we had 3 lots of pittas with it( great value there were 4 of us and we were all pretty much full after it was banging) The staff were amazing 👏 see you soon ladies 😘
