Local bar selling local lagers! Pub full of regulars! But friendly enough for outsiders aswel! Landlords are lovely! Decent beer!

Very good. Can't beat £2.40 for a pint! Love it when they have the fireplaces lit. Just don't use your phone or devices inside, because they encourage a culture of conversation

It is what it is. If you like Samuel Smiths pubs then you'll like this one. The fact that there may not be a television, or music or gaming machines is a bonus for me. Call me old fashioned but the fact that folks come to this pub and 'Socialise' is what it is all about. Good quality beers and lagers all 'kept' brilliantly. £2 for a pint of Old Brewery Bitter and not a lot more for the lager, some are cheaper still (Mild for example). This public house may not be ultra modern or have noise blasting from every corner but it does provide a nice place to sit and converse with decent drinks at decent prices. WHAT IS THERE NOT TO LIKE.

If you are a lager drinker the pints a very reasonably priced. Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere with the open fire. Nice place for a few pints with mates in a safe friendly atmosphere.
