Always a great place to go after work to get a beer with the crew. Good selection of beers, friendly locals, and a nice cosy atmosphere. Would definitely recommend đź‘Ť Also, a good place to go if you're into alternative/rock/metal music - fits into that scene pretty well.
Insisted we come here. I spotted this pub on Google Maps from S.Afria. My partner lives in Maidstone and we were discussing our next visit. I saw the name, he sent me a picture, the rest was history. The locals were fabulous and welcoming, the staff were the best and the drinks were lekker! I love the janky-wonky beams/floors. Just be careful if you're tall or tipsy. Its 100% a part of the experience! Will be sure to stop buy on my next UK trip!
Love this pub - music is on the dark/heavy/gothic/ rock side - so if you don’t enjoy that you might not enjoy- but beer is great - service is great and the pub is 100s of years old - older than USA in fact
Visited 3 times recently, unfortunately quiet on all visits. Manager! welcoming on all visits. Shame beer range didn't change over visits, would be my biggest gripe.
A truly great wee pub is the Pig. Always a nice pint can be had. Curious Brew is a favourite of mine and can be found here. It's about as traditional and atmospheric as a great British pub gets, certainly for Maidstone anyway. There's a little courtyard to catch a few rays when the sun is shining. If you're staying around for more than a couple, the best advice I can give is to watch your head when you're moving about the place!! All round a charming place and well worth stopping by!
