Without a doubt the best curry I've had in a long time. Went for the 5 courses for £15 deal and cannot fault it. The starters were delicious - I had the chicken pakoora and my partner the chicken chat puri. Both were superb. Mains were a lamb dish with chili and garlic for me, and a Maducash murg for the Mrs. Again, both were superb. We will be back to dine here again, no doubt about it.
Had a meal here in between Christmas and New year and it was great. Staff very friendly and the food was reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.
This is a review of the Christmas English meal on Christmas Day. All previous Indian take outs have been good. We booked a table for 4 people Christmas Day, the atmosphere was loud and rowdy, we were seated in the bar area sadly, next to a loud speaker blasting Christmas music so loud we couldn’t talk to each other. The starter even though booked and paid a month earlier took 45 minutes to come out, salmon parcels apparently, which were a bit of salmon rolled around a few prawns and a piece of bread. Before the starters came out the servers came to us 3 times asking if we were ready for our mains… we were still waiting for starters!. The main came 40 minutes after the starters (1.5 hours wait in total), where can I start, it was nearly cold, and looked like a few leftovers, the sprouts fell apart on touching them (totally over cooked), a cold lump of mash, a single rock hard potato, a single hard parsnip, mostly dry… just horrible. The atmosphere was poor, sat next to the bar area with people shouting. We asked for the pudding (of the three course) to take away so we could leave asap! The server/manager said “I don’t blame you”, the puddings were supposed to be Christmas pudding with brandy sauce, I’ve added a picture below of the desert we were given! A total joke and waste of money, the service as a whole was unorganised madness, with no food cooking and presentation capability. Sad for a Christmas Day meal.
Table for 2 this evening. Our first time eating here. Offered whatever table we preferred. Very attentive staff. Food was amazing . Poppadoms with pickle trayvto start. I had chicken tikka sizzler with masala sauce, mushroom rice. Husband had chicken silsilla, boiled rice and we shared garlic naan. This was without doubt the best curry I've eaten in a long time and curry is my favourite food. I highly recommend and will absolutely be returning .
food and restaurant staff were very good. I will have takeout food but not going back in the pub. The bar staff were very rude and the building was not clean or inviting. they didn't seem to know what was available behind the bar. This was highlighted when the barman got a drink at end of the shift, pushing through our group to sit at the bar.
