My visit to Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese during my London trip was truly unforgettable! Tucked away in a charming alley, this historic pub oozes with charm. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a cozy atmosphere, complete with a crackling fire and the delightful scent of oak and cedar. It instantly reminded me of the warm and smoky ambiance of barbecue restaurants back home in Texas, blending a sense of comfort with London's unique character. The selection of beers here is exceptional, with Sam Smith's being a standout in terms of quality and taste. Exploring the cellar, which dates back to the 17th century, felt like journeying through time. Its intimate ambiance and low ceilings, humorously warned by signs, add to the pub's authentic charm and historical significance. Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese is not just a pub; it's a living piece of history. The likes of Charles Dickens were regular patrons, and you can't help but feel a connection to the past in this storied setting. And who could forget the famous parrot that once graced this establishment? Its story, among others, adds an intriguing layer to the pub's legacy. In conclusion, a visit to Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese offers more than just a pint of beer. It's an immersive experience that transports you deep into London's rich tapestry of history and culture. A must-visit for anyone looking to experience the authentic heart of London! 🍺🔥🇬🇧

I was looking forward to visiting the pub. While the whole location feels quite eerie, the vibe is quite chill. The food was good but the customer service needs so.e improvement. While they were attentive, they lacked sometimes in being assertive about what we needed, and the kitchen was very slow. Maybe because of the layout of the pub???!!!

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese is an absolute gem in London! Stepping into this 600-year-old pub feels like a journey back to 1500 AD. The historic ambiance is unparalleled, offering a unique experience unlike any other. A must-visit spot for anyone exploring London!

It was described to me one of the oldest pubs in London and it felt as such. You walked through a tiny path to get to it, the first step is worn down due to 300+ years of use, the glass windows are old, the bar felt cooler, and even the benches felt aged - and I expected nothing less, it all added to the atmosphere. A decent selection of draught and bottle beers and a small menu with starters and main courses, lots of roasts. The food was good and i wish the service sizes were a bit larger. I was also disappointed that there was no fish and chips that day. The staff was very friendly and prompt, helpful with the menu and questions. The feeling you get when sitting was 'if these walls could talk...' You felt you're part of history being there - glad we went.
