Visited this place with my blind friend and his guide dog. Immediately made welcome with a bowl of fresh water made up for his dog without prompting. Great conversation from the staff, with some of the history of the place. Array of real ales on tap, all exceedingly well priced. Stunning original interior with great ambience, welcoming staff and wholly inclusive. Well worth a visit.

Been to ye hole in ye wall many times always pop in when we’re in town. Keep meaning to leave a review, now I have . Went in today and got a warm welcome as always. The bar staff are fantastic and treat you like they have known you for years, Steve is superb and a great laugh, gave us cheese and crackers and some port , made my friend Lawrence feel like it was his birthday. Keep up the great work we really appreciate it thanks to you all for a great afternoon, Keith, si and Lawrence 👍👍

Fantastic pub. Brilliant relaxing atmosphere, great music, good beer, lovely staff. Next time I’m in Liverpool will definitely be coming back in here.

Such a lovely friendly pub! Staff were great and really good to chat to. Service was quick and a great variety of drinks and real ale, top quality Bitter on! Was really impressed and will definitely go again, proper English pub and lots of seating too. Really enjoyable and great atmosphere!
