Decided to try the food here as have been in a few times for a drink. Cant fault it food is absolutely delicious, my boyfriend and I polished off the lot. The burgers are gorgeous best ones by far that we've had in stafford . Staff really approachable and helpful and polite. If I could give more than 5 stars I would . Highly recommended.
Went for the world cup, great atmosphere, in spite of the result (also the staff coped very well considering how busy it was). Not been for a while until then, but it's usually quite decent, good quality food average range of beer. Reasonable prices, although relative to Stafford, there are definitely cheaper options. Also good central location by the river and near to other pubs.
The staff were very friendly and helpful but the food was lacking... low grade pub grub. I have to say the bar lady who seemed to be running the place was excellent! Running around serving food taking drinks orders and generally tidying up. 5 stars to her
Great staff, good selection of drinks, loved it. Had a fab time. Plus, pool table=win! I haven't tried the food, but I have friends who have and it is lush! The drinks are more expensive than when it was owned by the previous company but they are still pretty fair. Good place to start a night - or to stay at to be honest 😊
Came here on a Saturday, so it was fairly busy, as is everywhere else on a weekend. Been here a few times in the day and the food has always been brilliant and the service 5*. However, there was a gentleman working on the bar Saturday night, don't know his name, wore glasses. His service was absolutely disgusting! He was rude to people, shouting, rolling his eyes and snatching money from people. He forgot one of our drinks, which was fine, like I said it was busy, but when we wold him that, there was no apology just another filthy look and sarcasm. Now I understand that it was busy, and we all get a little stressed under pressure, but that is not the service I would expect to receive.
