The pub is now in the hands of a very experienced old fashioned landlord and his family team.Who are looking to re open this great pub around the 26th May. 2023 We are attending to necessary refurbishments and when these are complete we will open the doors once again.For a great selection of cask ales ,lagers, ciders,wines and spirits.Our kitchen will be offering a good selection of homemade pub food and daily fresh fish specials.All cooked by our top chef who built his reputation after working in the best fish restaurants in Cornwall. Our Sunday roasts will be a must.
The land lady and all the staff were very welcoming to my wife and I when we visited over the platinum jubilee weekend. Beautiful pub in a beautiful setting. The atmosphere on the Saturday was fab. 80s music and great company. We will definitely visit again.
Absolutely lovely. The lady behind the bar was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was wonderful and their little garden at the back was just what we needed last night.

Visited on 30th April after being recommended, few issue when food arrived, lady taking the order read it back with the bits not wanted mainly blue cheese sauce on chicken burgers, both came out with it on ! Sent back, 4 off us carried on eating while 2 sat there. Burgers came back out, started eating them, one was under cooked (chicken was pink). Told the lady and she took it back to kitchen, put other person off of theirs, were then ignored, so decided to pay bill, was expected to pay for two meals which were unacceptable, so the boss came out and disputed chicken was undercooked, eventually removed 2x meals and 2x drinks. Also gave us 2x 20 per cent discount vouchers!! First impressions count for a lot, wont be going back, sister in law is still suffering today wit upset stomach!!!
Had a lovely lunch time dinner today at the Yarcombe Inn, first visit after re-opening, very welcoming and friendly reception greets you at the bar, with a lovely cosy family feel to the place with all the characteristics of an old Inn. The food is real Pub good grub with plenty of choice and the bar is well stocked. We had steak and chips with all the trimmings, and I had sausage and Mash etc which was very good. Booked in for a curry night next week, Ashley, chef/owner has a great outlook to his menu which is changing again next month, to reflect the seasons. Very happy to recommend it as a great stop for Lunch or evening meals, great value for money and will recommend to family and friends, if you’re in the area, worth a visit, enjoy the experience of the Yarcombe Inn.
