The Wyvern, pronounced "Wivvern", to rhyme with "given", is a busy and friendly pub in Church Crookham, North Hampshire. We're open 7 days a week with a hearty welcome for all.
Come in and enjoy a pint and relax in our large garden or a cracking Sunday roast from our kitchen in our traditional English pub. With a weekly quiz on Thursdays and regular entertainment and events. We're dog-friendly and we have free Wi-fi for our customers throughout the pub.

Food is good and with fair size portions. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only real negatives for me, are that I could hear the footie and the louts from where I was eating my dinner, and this is a dog friendly pub. Great if you have a dog, but personally, I don't want to sit and eat my dinner around other people's dogs. I would probably return in the summer, when we can sit outside in the fresh air and away from the TV. The decor is nice. Parking can be a bit tight ... when it's busy obvs.
Had a lovely lunch here the week before Christmas. Even though they were very busy the service was excellent. Very happy and helpful staff. The food was delicious...I had the sea bass which was better than some that I've had at Rick Steins 😳 Hubby had Sausage and mash.....delicious sausages 😋 Thank you for a lovely lunch. Hope to see you again sometime 😀
Popped into the Wyvern with my family for lunch as I had heard good things about the place and it did not disappoint. Great pub with amazing food ( even my fussy son ate everything ) and friendly staff. We will definitely be back. Thanks for having us guys. 5stars
Had a really great Sunday roast here. Price was reasonable, the portion sizes were great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The waitress's suggestion of the pumpkin spiced latte cake with custard was a game changer as well.
Dog friendly spacious pub with garden. Visited September 2023 for Sunday roast that we had booked a week before. Warm friendly and efficient service. Good roast dinner, but not brilliant. Beef a little over and tough. Potatoes ok but parsnips criminally under done. Tasty carrot and swede mix but it was served cold. Nice Yorkshire pudding and stuffing ball. Cauliflower cheese is an extra but worth it and is big enough for sharing. One of our party had the pork and that was really tender and succulent with excellent crackling.

The Wyvern's kitchen & full menu are now available all day. We will no longer be closing between 3-5pm - our opening hours now are 12-9pm Monday to Saturday and 12-6pm Sundays.
Friday lunchtimes, get two fish & chips for a tenner. Add a bottle of Prosecco for an extra £12 if you like.
This week we launch our whole new Barrel & Stone pizza menu. Freshly made pizza! The best bit - we serve all day every day till midnight! What a way to end the Year. We're also launching our brand new regular menu.
