Situated just a 2 minute walk from Highgate Village at 98 North Road N6 4AA, this traditional English pub is a hidden gem.
The Wrestlers has stood on it's present site since 1547 and the present owners are in their 16th year of running this fine hostelry. Its original fireplace, wooden furniture and stained glass windows together with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly locals combine to create a traditional pub full of old world charm.
It goes without saying that some of the best people in the world are bar staff (and we think we've bagged them all), and our staff are always more than ready to share a story or two. You'll certainly never be alone at the wrestlers.
Put all this together with fantastic home-made food from our in-house chefs and a great variety of well kept Real Ales, Ciders and locally brewed spirits and we're sure you'll have a memorable visit, time and time again.
We do of course cater for drivers and non drinkers with a wide range of delicious coffees, teas and soft drinks.
Cheers from us all at The Wrestlers and we look forward to seeing you in the near future.

Lovely pub. Portion size was large and extremely tasty, especially the beef and lamb. Caulifour cheese unfortunately was flourly and not much cheese sause or cheese. Overall 9/10
Laid back local pub with friendly staff and varied clientele, you are made to feel very welcome. Selection of beers and ciders, I had the traditional haddock and chips which was just spot on. Very reasonable prices. This is one of Highgate’s historic pubs with a long history, but has remained very individual and unpretentious. Everything a pub should be then.
The ambience was reminiscent of a by gone age. The beers were lovely. The staff superlative. The food is great, varied options. Can’t fault any aspect of The Wrestlers.
The pub has quite a nice vibe, especially in winter when the fire is roaring but the food is below average and lacking any flavour. Have tried the Sunday roast a few times hoping it will get better but every time it is disappointing. Shame... lots of potential if they can improve the whole package.
Stepping out in North London for a change and couldn't have had a better lunch. It was surprisingly quiet but perhaps something to do with being a little early (12.15) and perhaps the Queen funeral weekend. Regardless the welcome was great and the service efficient, friendly and relaxed. The roast beef was top notch and you can't beat decent horseradish. Really good and the Eton Mess was excellent albeit on the sweet side. Oh. Cauliflower cheese as a side was nice. More cauliflower and less cheese so didn't feel too heavy.

Highgate's local brew pub. Serving our own beers brewed on site, with other great craft beers from the UK and around the world. Oh, and we do good food too!
