Myself and my friend were staying just round the corner from this place so after a lovely walk we popped in for a drink, I have never in my life meet a landlord like this man..he was the rudest bloke I've ever meet and if it wasn't for my friend giving me the eye to say shut up don't say anything I think i would of been barred before I could even order a drink. I would not recommend this place if it was the last place on earth.

Nice little pub that feels way more remote than it actually is...Alas, it's completely let down by the very strange ( perhaps ill ) people that run it. I have visited half a dozen times, but the reception I received each time was a complete lottery. On one occasion they were friendly...well kind of - other times sneered at - and the most recent visit was made to feel that unwelcome, we left after 30 minutes. The atmosphere is part Wicker Man with a twist of The Shining...in fact these decrepit old duffers are sooo weird they are actually quite amusing.... Anyway, I live about 5 mins away in Hallow, so I started to ask a few questions about this place from locals...turns out hubby and wifey are both raging long term alcoholics! Now that explains a lot of the rather twisted behaviour that they indulge in. My advice would be go and pay them a visit, they might take to you...but be warned they may not. Good luck! I do hope someone buys the place and keeps it going after they croak it.... and judging by the state of the pair of them... don't think we'll have to wait that long either.

This was a strange one. Felt like I was a guest in someone’s front room. Nice fire was going, good pint served. Thursdays are shooting nights so every other Thursday it’s lively. I liked it and do recommend. However, accept it for what it is, a good old country pub.

I went to play skittles at the Fox Inn and I have never met such a rude Landlady and Landlord before. A friend of mine wanted a pint of Lager and the Landlord suggested this Lager my Friend said that he didn't want that one and the Landlord said, abruptly "Why!, What's wrong with it?" To which my Friend replied, "Nothing, I just don't like that type of Lager". And at the end of the night, the Home team captain asked each of us if we wanted to buy a raffle ticket to win a bottle of wine and there will be Sausage and chips as well. We went into the Bar to eat our Sausage and chips and most of our team had left, Leaving just four of us to eat the food. So there was a lot for just the four of us. And as we were happily eating away. The Landlady, Said, "I think you have had enough now, My Husband hasn't eaten yet and then she picked up the Sausages and took them out the back". I thought they were both very rude. At least we won the Skittles.

This should be a club not a pub. Looked wonderful and my son and myself really looked forward to a great Evening in it Sadly, we were thrown out, as told we only serve locals. Never been thrown out of a pub ever, especially sober. My son lives 6 mins away. I was in a great B and B 2 mins away. . Really sad as looked brilliant...no welcome here.
