About us

Further to being acquired and refurbished by Wye Valley Brewery, The Black Star reopened in October 2014 and now provides all of the comforts of a truly traditional community pub. It has a lovely garden next to the canal, and is just a short walk from the canal basin and the town centre.
The Black Star’s varied and mouthwatering menu is sure to tantalise anyone’s tastebuds and please everyone’s pockets. And if you’re in the mood for food, you may also like to cast your eyes over the pub’s wine list.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. A wonderful experience and we will certainly be returning very soon..

booked in for Crimbo Day, all 3 corses & service were Fantastic, so well organised too wiv gifts, crackers, chocolates on arrival at yr table, my Hub & I were seated upstairs in The Chapel, Thank You to ‘Maria n’ Andy’ & All their Staff for making our Crimbo Day very Special.. Mwah to You ALL xXx

Just stumbled across this little gem of a pub. Strolling along the canal fancied a light bite so we shared the baguette, chips and salad meal. It was plentiful, great quality and delicious. Lovely position ext to canal and staff really friendly to ... 10/10 .Will definitely return.

Update: My favourite pub in Stourport! Nice pub to stop off and have some food and drinks. Good selection of ales and ciders. Good cobs, sausage rolls and pork pies if you want a quick snack. Lovely welcoming staff also

WOW!!! Homemade Lasagne was delicious. Hubby had the ribs, he said they were very good! Good size portions and very cheap!! Lovely friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this place.
