I travel a lot and spend a great amount of time looking for good places to eat and drink. The most welcoming place to visit. Staff were great, locals embraced me and its a dig friendly pub. Highly rated great value food and drinks.
We had food here the day before our wedding and actually had our wedding meal here too. Both meals were absolutely beautiful, the steak was cooked perfectly. All 3 courses of both days I could not fault, staff were kind and went out their way to make sure everything was perfect for our wedding meal. We had the back room, which was secluded to the rest of the pub, it was quiet and intimate which is exactly what we wanted! They opened the pub early enough for us to dress the room and everything just went to plan effortlessly.
Looking forward to having to boxing day dinner here. Staff helpful and friendly. Nice place with lots of tables. Jury is still out on the food!...Well it did not disappoint! The food was the best I've had in years. Service was 2nd to none and the atmosphere was lovely. Thank you Cross Keys for making our family Christmas meal so very special!!
Where do I start?! The venue is incredible, very welcoming and very friendly. The staff were helpful and polite with nothing but smiles across the board. The food was well presented, tasted amazing and very filling. You can tell that every member of staff genuinely do care about their job. The table staff were attentive, polite and very approachable. The chef had attention to detail in every way and the manager was friendly and clearly knew some of the regulars on first name terms which is always a welcome bonus. The price was very reasonable indeed, and I would happily come back here again without a moments hesitation. Thank you Cross Keys for a wonderful afternoon. (Now I'm off home for a nap!!!)
First time back to this wonderful place in a long time and so glad we did. The Cross Keys has the finest Gluten Free menu choice of anywhere I’ve ever been which as a Celiac is essential. Wonderful to see the chef offering something different to the usual pub fare with excellent fish options. Add to this the attentive and friendly service from the waiting staff and you have the perfect venue. Our party of four felt the prices fairly reflect the high quality food and service and would recommend the Cross Keys very highly.
