Popped in for a late lunch, wow food was excellent. Daughter had the fish and chips and declared it was the best she'd ever had. I had fish pie which was gorgeous. The meat pie and scampi equally as good. Service was fantastic, and dog friendly which was the reason we went.
Cosy inviting interior and a warm welcome. A fantastic selection of drinks and a couple of fires to keep the place warm. The service was great and the food was perfect and reasonably priced. The place was alive with regulars and it was nice to see such a warm social environment.
We went in October 23 no booking needed as it was a Monday. Our group had beer battered fish and chips and steak and ale pie. Both was absolutely delicious. The pie was off the chart ! All filled with huge chunks of steak and fabulous gravy.
This lovely place will be a pub I can call my local soon. Everyone loves the food there, for good reason, it is that good, I was there with friends and the biggest dog there ever was. The staff were super kind and the patrons there were too, that says a lot to me. Fantastic beers there, the landlord and the staff are a class act as well. Looking forward to going back!
