Woodwards (Woodies) is a nice cozy spot in the heart of the village, serving coffees and small food throughout the day, and doubling up as a wine bar at night. On the food front, both the sausage butty and BLT are good. They're no frills but priced accordingly, so go with this in mind. The coffee is... awful. I've watched the staff spoon froth onto coffee to make a "capuchino", their smallest flat white is about 3x the size it should be, and the coffee is so hot you need to wait 20 minutes or you'll burn your mouth. The latte art is... none existant (see photo), which tells you the milk isn't being steamed properly. It's a shame, as the staff are friendly and the place is lovely, but with coffee this bad I can't say I'll be back. Highchairs are available, but there are only limited tables so booking is a good idea.
Cool place to chill and have a coffee. Toasted bacon butties, or just toast, rounds the morning off.
Great place for coffee and a wonderful breakfast sandwich. The staff are very welcoming and service is quick. It's dog friendly too
Fab vibe. Love it. Always a brilliant Night out especially when the Captains of Industry are playing 😉 #awesomeband Thanks Lou for your welcoming hospitality. See you Soon x
Pretty disappointing since it reopened . Not sure the staff know how to make the cocktails properly. The pina colada had an orange (it’s supposed to be pineapple) and the Long Island ice tea was missing the coke. Apart from the poor cocktails ambience was nice.
