A portal to a simpler time where beer was cheaper and bars had proper snacks. The Woodlands, commonly referred to as 'the woodies', is home to friendly bar staff who warmly accommodate all who come to drink there. With stunning views of the village and the bay, 'the woodies' is in an idea location surrounded by the woods looking out over land and deer.
Stopped here with my dear brother-in-law and had a couple of pints super place. Wonderful views sat out the front and they had food wagons serving really really delicious looking food. Wonderful conversation with a guy who done a 25 year shift at Woodlands keeping the place up and running. By the way, I missed out the most important thing they had for guest ales, which were absolutely super beautifully kept real beer.
This place is for beer drinkers, it's like going into the past a lovely couple run the pub there are no frills but there are great people and a wonderful choice of beers at real prices, bit of a walk up a hill but well worth it.
If you like real ale and cider then this is a must. £3.30 pint and well kept. Mobile food van on site. Outside is lovely sunny views. Inside is interesting! Worth a visit
Pretty crazy pub, oldy worldy pub with cheap oldy worldy prices. Really cool old building if you like that kind of thing, we do. Food trailer outside is a little gem selling the best fish and chips we've had. Curry sauce was divine. The lady making the food was wonderful and added to the fantastic evening we had here.
