Food was excellent. We were well looked after by the staff fetching extra drinks and sauces etc. Pleasant , friendly staff. The service was a little slow, however well worth the wait once the food arrived.
Our first Christmas dinner of the year and we were not dissapointed it was excellent. Very large and very taste indeed. Service was excellent and surroundings perfect.
Called in here today, 2nd November. We do come here regularly but, up until recently, they were NOT dog friendly BUT now, they are, on the wooden floor area near the bar. Great, we were walking our dogs today around the Marina as Hartsholme Park too wet. We decided, as we can now take our two dogs, Molly and Toby, into the Woodcock for a meal, we would eat here today instead of taking them home and perhaps going to The Centurian! Most Marston pubs accept dogs and glad common sense now prevails at The Woodcock. Why cut your clientele down. Our dogs don’t dictate where we go but a lot of our friends will only go where their dogs can. In the event, I had a lovely rump steak, cooked to perfection and Barry had his favourite, fish and chips. With a coupon for 30% off and a coupon for 2 drinks for £5, what’s not to like🤗. Staff always very nice, particularly Ally and the waitress who served us today.
Fantastic place, great food and choices. Breakfast can be included if wanted. Quiet place to unwind and chill. Beautiful an hour walk along the canal to Lincoln. Great shopping center at Lincoln City centre. Bus runs every hour from.the complex to Lincoln.
We stayed here 3 nights while on business in Lincoln, the rooms were clean and tidy. First night a little noisy, doors rattling and water in pipe noises. Second night got the ear plugs in and everything great. No reception at the hotel you have to go into the bar to check in , never like this system but guess it cuts down on staff. Talking of staff all very friendly, great people but lacking the amount of staff. This was apparent in the restaurant very very slow service due to lack of staff. The staff that were there were run off their feet, but always with a smile. Couldn't fault them. Food, well mostly average but at this price point can't really complain having said that the ultimate chicken burger was good. Not a large selection for breakfast but again ok. Would I go back, yes I would.
